A rainy morning, but had some lovely messages from my girls which brightened up my day.
By 11am the weather cleared up, and after some maintenance work on the boat, Austin took me for a cruise down the Saône River to the next village of St. Symphorien. This is where the Canal du Rhône au Rhin starts. We practised our turns and berthing manoeuvres and Austin did great in backing the boat into our spot at H2O again.
At night we celebrated mothers day by going out for dinner at the Auberge d'Amiral where we had two "plats de jour".
Tomorrow we are off on our first canal trip to Dôle. We plan to return in 4-5 days to iron out the last few bugs with our boat.
